Creative International was birthed basically out of frustration over the lack of suitable, fresh, contemporary images for church multimedia presentations. There seemed to be an over-abundance of stale, outdated and over-priced images that to me denoted an antiquated and perhaps somewhat antiseptic church. The images that I could use were hideously overpriced. Having always been very fascinated by the visual arts- I could not help but wonder if I could somehow transform the ideas and images in my mind into pixels.

My first attempts were laughable. I guess now it is rather like looking back at the stick figures I drew as a child that my mother so proudly (and kindly) displayed on her refrigerator door. However, every small accomplishment seemed to provide fuel for the next. When I finally got to a technical level that I could begin to communicate complex spiritual ideas and concepts through a single image it changed my life. I began to treat each project like a child rather than the collection of pixels it really was. It was as if the images I was shaping were somehow shaping me.

I began to think about the power that images hold and how they can transcend every language barrier. Images penetrate into areas of our beings that mere words can not. If you doubt that they hold this much power consider pornography.
